By Samii Ryan is a Los Angeles based women's brand inspired by unrequited love and growing up as a youth in the 90's combining trendy lifestyle silhouettes with a soft feminine streetwear twist.
How did you get started?
I started By Samii Ryan in 2009 as an accessory brand and would travel to various music festivals to sell my hand made pieces. In 2011 By Samii Ryan accessories really took off with our feather hair clips and earrings. Soon after, our accessories got picked up by Nordstrom and were in 60 trend and belt department stores across the USA. Fast forward to 2017 when we launched the apparel side of By Samii Ryan, the original designs were picked up by major mall retailer, Zumiez. Within 6 months we went from 60 stores to over 690 stores nationwide. Our success with Zumiez was in graphic tees and loungewear which we continue to move volume with today. Since then we have been picked up by Revolve, Dolls Kill and we are opening up our international business with Selfridges in the fall of this year.
What’s your favorite space and why?
My favorite space is my home, where I feel the most comfortable and myself. I also love my office because it's a fantastic creative space that I get to dive deep into my creativity with.
